MEET YOUR PROVIDERHi, I'm Elizabeth.
Founder of Desert Rain Hormone Health, and someone who's living this stage of life right alongside you.
Why I started Desert Rain
I founded Desert Rain after living the gap I now spend my days closing.
When I entered perimenopause myself, I went looking for care that actually understood what I was going through — and I couldn't find it. Traditional primary care and OB/GYN settings weren't built for the nuance this stage of life demands. Many providers simply don't have the specialized training to give women and men in midlife the knowledgeable, up-to-date hormonal and metabolic care they deserve.
I understand firsthand how hard it can be to balance a career, a family, aging parents, and a body that feels like it's changing under you. People in midlife deserve to be heard, respected, and cared for by someone with the training, time, and compassion to actually help — not just someone experiencing it themselves, but someone who's built an entire practice around closing that gap.
My background
I'm a board-certified nurse practitioner with 20 years in medicine, including backgrounds in family medicine and emergency medicine. That range shapes how I practice today — I bring both depth and breadth to your care, not just a narrow specialty lens.
I'm certified as a Menopause Society Certified Provider (MSCP), specialized training that many medical providers simply don't have. It means I stay current on the latest evidence-based approaches to hormone therapy, rather than relying on outdated protocols.
How I practice
I keep my practice intentionally small. It's how I make sure you get real time, not twelve rushed minutes — and how I can give every patient the attention their care actually deserves.
Your symptoms don't happen in isolation, so I don't treat them that way. Fatigue, weight changes, brain fog, mood shifts — these overlap constantly, and I look at the whole picture: your labs, but also your habits, your lifestyle, your motivation, and the resources you actually have available to you. A plan only works if it fits the life you're living.
Care is available entirely by telemedicine — most patients find it's simply more convenient. If you'd rather meet in person, I also see patients at my Tucson office on Thursdays.
Today, I work with women navigating perimenopause and menopause, and with men and women on weight and metabolic health — always personalized, always whole-person, always evidence-based.
Beyond the practice
I have lived in Tucson, Arizona for the past 20 years and love the sunshine and the unique desert setting. I have a husband and a school-aged son and we stay busy with sports, our friends, and our Corgi. I love to be outside as much as possible - you’ll find me at the beach on most vacations. I will never give up coffee, Mexican food, or good dark chocolate.
